At Love Your Lights, we stand behind the quality of our products and want you to enjoy them for years to come. Below are the warranty periods and conditions for our lighting products.
2-Year Warranty
Applies to:

Mains Powered Festoon Lights

Pro Series Fairy Lights
Covers the repair or replacement of any product that fails due to defective materials, for 24 months from date of delivery.
Light bulbs are excluded.
Warranty is non-transferable.
1-Year Warranty
Applies to:

Essential and Core Series Fairy Lights
-
Solar Powered Festoon Lights
Covers the repair or replacement of any product that fails due to defective materials, for 12 months from date of delivery.
Light bulbs are excluded.
Warranty is non-transferable.
6-Month Warranty
Applies to:

Ball Fairy Lights
-
Solar Lanterns
-
Solar Seed Fairy Lights
-
USB and Battery-Powered Products
Covers the repair or replacement of any product that fails due to defective materials, for 6 months from date of delivery.
Light bulbs are excluded.
Warranty is non-transferable.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

Light bulbs (considered consumables)
-
Damage from misuse, neglect, accident, tampering, or unauthorised repairs
-
Incorrect installation or unsuitable environments (e.g. high winds, falling branches)
-
Installation or usage not following instructions or specifications
-
Use of incompatible third-party components (e.g. cables, bulbs, power sources)
-
Water damage from incorrect installation or misuse of IP-rated products
-
Acts of God (e.g. storms, lightning, power surges, flooding)
-
Rust, corrosion, or natural wear and tear
-
External damage (birds, insects, falling branches, objects)
-
Unsupported installations, especially in exposed outdoor areas
-
Performance that matches product specifications but not user expectations
-
Freight or other costs associated with making a warranty claim
-
Consequential damage to property (e.g. walls, ceilings, flooring)
Important: Installation Responsibility
You, the purchaser, are responsible for ensuring correct installation.
Connecting Multiple Sets:
Ensure that:

Pins and grooves are properly aligned
-
Connections are fully and securely tightened
-
Waterproof caps are sealed tightly across all joins
Lights rated IP65 will not allow water or moisture ingress when connected correctly.
Securing Light Bulbs:
Make sure all bulbs are:

Firmly and securely screwed in
-
Not left loose in their sockets
Loose bulbs may result in water entering the socket and void the waterproof rating.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
Please notify us within 7 days of discovering a fault by emailing sales@loveyourlights.co.nz with:

Return of the item for inspection (return shipping at your cost)
If the product is not returned when requested, your claim cannot proceed.

We may guide you through troubleshooting steps first — often issues can be resolved quickly.

Love Your Lights reserves the right to determine whether the fault is due to a manufacturing defect or other cause.

Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
