Oak 'n' Ferry All Lit Up - Christchurch

The Oak 'n' Ferry Pub in Woolston has long been a favourite local gathering spot, known for its welcoming atmosphere and great hospitality. Looking to make even better use of its covered outdoor area, the owners wanted lighting that would create a warm, inviting space for patrons from afternoon through to late evening.

Working with Perry Fingh from Lumnx Electrical & Solar, the solution was our commercial-grade Festoon Lights fitted with A60 Warm White LED bulbs. Using 50cm-spaced Festoon Strings, Perry created a striking canopy of light that perfectly complements the timber features and outdoor seating area.

To give the venue complete control over the ambience, a Festoon Dimmer Unit was also installed, allowing staff to adjust the brightness to suit everything from relaxed daytime dining to busy evening service.

Designed for New Zealand conditions, our Festoon Lights feature heavy-duty, IP65-rated cabling and are built to withstand the demands of commercial hospitality environments. Their connectable design also makes them ideal for creating custom layouts across patios, courtyards and outdoor dining spaces.

The finished result is an inviting outdoor destination that encourages guests to stay longer, creating the perfect atmosphere for catching up with friends over a meal or enjoying an evening drink.
