From Bright to Inviting – Transforming an Award-Winning Kerikeri Bakery

The Kerikeri Bakehouse & Café in Kerikeri is renowned for its award-winning baking, but the owners felt their café lacked the warmth and atmosphere they wanted customers to experience.

With high ceilings and functional lighting, the space felt bright but lacked the cosy, welcoming ambience that encourages people to relax, enjoy a coffee and stay a little longer.

Working directly with the owners, we designed a lighting solution that would become a feature in itself.

Rather than simply hanging lights from the ceiling, we suggested incorporating heavy-duty marine rope to create a unique overhead installation. Our S14 Drop Hang Festoon Lights were suspended from the rope, creating flowing lines across the café while complementing the rustic interior and hanging greenery.

 

The warm white LED bulbs instantly softened the space, adding character and creating an inviting atmosphere both during the day and into the evening.
